Tue 26 Feb
Date 26th—28th February 2019
Venue Chartridge Lodge, Chesham
London Preachers Conference 2019 will be on Tuesday 26 February (4pm) - Thursday 28 February 2019 (2pm) in Chesham, Buckinghamshire with speakers Charlie Skrine, Associate Rector St Helen’s Bishopsgate and Jonathan Prime, Pastsoral Ministries Director FIEC.
Our fundamental conviction is that when the Bible is preached, God’s voice is heard - that the Spirit of God takes the Word of God to do the work of God among the people of God.
Our aim is to encourage and equip pastor-teachers in the local church, a relentlessly demanding and often lonely work.
Bible expositions - to feed our minds and fire our hearts, given by an experienced pastor-teacher. Speakers are briefed not just to preach but to guide how to preach a particular book or section or genre. This can then be used as part of our own preaching schedule.
Preaching MOT workshops - in small groups listening to a recent sermon.
Prayer - together for one another to encourage us in our ministries.
Addresses - on key issues at the cutting edge of ministry. Next year Charlie Skrine will be giving four expositions on Micah and suggestions on how to preach it and Jonathan Prime will be giving two talks on Pastoring the Pastors seeking to encourage watching life and doctrine closely.
Excellent venue and very good food!!!
It’s been a huge privilege and blessing to be here.
